How does the student get help from a tutor?

Using sophisticated computer technology, tutors will help the student by giving them a good math and/or physics foundation. They will work with the student on a one on one basis to improve their grades. Tutors are available on a scheduled basis or as drop-in for homework or exam prep.

What is live, online, one on one tutoring?

We create a virtual classroom for the student where there is only one tutor and one student. Tutoring takes place on the Internet and personal attention is given to the student.

What are the benefits of online tutoring?

Personal attention. Sit and study in the comfort of your home instead of visiting tutor's home x miles away and get the best guidance while paying less.

What subjects do you provide tutoring in?

Our current focus is Mathematics (calculus, algebra, geometry, trigonometry) and Physics.

I am looking for a tutor. Could I see a demo before registering?

First please contact us by email. We will give you a specified date and time when you can log in and get a demo session.

I have three children. Do you have a family option?

Yes, we have a family option. For three children it is $16 per session. For 2 children it is $18 per session and for a single child it is $20 per session.

What if we pay for the long term but decide against it later?

You need to do a minimum of 4 sessions per month. Anything greater than that will be adjusted if you decide against it.

What happens if we are not satisfied with the session?

You can choose to opt out of our services and your money shall be refunded to you. Please contact us by phone or email for a consultation. The student's success is our success and we want to hear from you if you are not satisfied.

Do you have the same tutor for every session?

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, yes. Any permanent changes will be done in consultation with the parent.

What grade do I have to be in to use the service?

Grade 4 to 12. We also support students in college and lower level university math and physics courses. In consultation with our staff we may be able to support higher university levels.

Do you provide complete solutions to problems?

Our focus is to teach by example to help the student understand the concepts and therefore be able to solve their own problems.

Do we need to send our homework problems in advance?

Not necessarily however, it may be helpful and increase the efficiency of the tutorial. It is advisable that any information that will enhance the tutorial be sent 24 hours in advance.

What curriculum and textbooks does the tutor use?

Our tutors will follow the same curriculum as the school district where the student is enrolled.

	Is it safe?

Absolutely, we give special attention to the safety norms of not disclosing the student's identity to anyone unless parent gives their consent.


What do I need to get started?

A computer with cable, DSL or broadband connection, microphone and headset (recommended), A digital pen tablet is optional but recommended.

When is the service available?

In North America, from 2:00 PM – 9:00 PM.

What are my payment options?

Payment is through Pay Pal. This is a secure site where you will be able to make secure payment using your credit card - Visa, MasterCard, etc. You can also pay by Cheque.

How do I create an account?

All you need to do is register and our system creates a user id and password, which shall be sent to you.

How much does it cost?

Do I have to schedule tutors in advance?

Yes, unless you have scheduled the homework and/or exam prep on demand. See Packages and Prices

Do you tutor on weekends as well?

Yes we do. This will be confirmed upon registration.

Can I reschedule a session?

You can, provided you give a notice of minimum 24 hours.

Is it possible to carry on tutoring sessions when we are away from home?

Yes, as long as you have access to a broadband Internet connectivity and necessary software - Skype

How many sessions would you recommend?

Realistically 2-3 days per week would be fine.

Can I use a Mac computer?

Yes.

Will it work with dial-up?

No. You need a DSL/Broadband connection.

What are the qualifications of the tutors?

All tutors hold a bachelors degree and higher with a good foundation in Mathematics and Physics and excellent communication skills.

What can we expect in an hour of homework help?

Each session will be different depending upon the needs of the individual student. Typically, you could expect that we would work on reviewing and teaching current concepts. It is equally essential that we review previous concepts and as time allows, prepare for concepts that will be introduced next in their curriculum at school. We want to also prepare the student for tests and exams. It is important that students and parents communicate the order that concepts will be taught at school and test and exam schedules. This can be done in advance via email or during the tutoring session.

Is the instruction personalized for every student?

Absolutely

Parents should ensure that their child attend each session promptly at the scheduled time.
